Luna has been diagnosed with lymphoma.
About a month ago, we removed Luna from the adoptable list. She was acting very off and all of a sudden had a bunch of symptoms that made me request a vet visit. After some anti-nausea medication, appetite stimulant, and prednisone, she was acting normal the next day. I was hoping it was a one-off and Huskies being Huskies with the weather changes we were having at the time. And then we received the phone call from Dr. L at Hero.
For the most part, Luna has been very happy and active since her diagnosis. She's had a couple days here and there where she's been a little lethargic and weak and then bounced back. Lymphoma in dogs is not curable, but can do things to extend her time with us while maintaining her quality of life. Our goal is to keep Luna happy and healthy as best we can while allowing her to live her best life.
To do that, we are building a bucket list for Luna and she will be staying with me and her husky siblings for the rest of her life.
Luna started her bucket list last weekend with a swim at four star dogs. While a little apprehensive at first, Luna took to swimming right away. This hungry, hungry hippo wanted to collect ALL of the fish! 🐟 Including all of the ones her foster brother was collecting. 😆
Please post on her Facebook posts with ideas for Luna's bucket list. If you would like to donate to her bucket list, you can do so here!
